I have always entertained an
early passion for art and fashion by
keeping drawing journals, photography
and making jewelry. This enthusiasm and
passion led me to New York, graduated
from the Fashion Institute of Technology
with a degree in fashion design. My love
for texture and prints later turned into
knitwear design. I always knew I was going
to create for the rest of my life. Color,
nature and culture have inspired my
work since day one. Each knitwear piece
I create embodies the meeting of organic
and urban elements, which I think parallels
my nostalgia for my home, Puerto
Rico, and my present home in Manhattan.
My experience in design and production
at Proenza Schouler, Lela Rose and
Tory Burch have helped me understand
the level of commitment, team work and
the hard work that is put into a collection.
